Empowering Professionals Across Air Cargo & Logistics

Advocacy

Advocacy

Miami Air Cargo Americas serves as a leading voice for the air cargo and logistics community across Miami, the Caribbean, Latin America, and key global trade lanes. Our advocacy efforts strengthen regional competitiveness, inform policy discussions, and ensure that decisions affecting air cargo reflect the operational realities and strategic needs of our industry. Your membership supports this work and helps advance Miami’s position as a premier global gateway.

Government & Agency Collaboration

We routinely collaborate with agencies such as Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), TSA, and other regulatory bodies to provide real-world insight into matters impacting cargo operations. Our goal is to promote efficient, secure, and competitive air cargo processes while advocating for policies that support sustainable growth across the region.

Regulatory Feedback & Industry Position Papers

When regulatory changes may affect cargo operations, we engage with members to gather feedback and coordinate responses. Through comment submissions, position papers, and stakeholder workshops, we provide analysis and practical recommendations tailored to Miami’s operational environment. These efforts help ensure that regulations consider impacts across freight forwarders, airlines, ground handlers, truckers, and service providers.

Coalition Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships

We actively partner with industry associations, chambers of commerce, trade organizations, and airport leadership groups to advance shared priorities. By bringing together voices from air, ocean, and land transportation, we strengthen our collective ability to influence regional planning, trade policies, economic development, and workforce initiatives.

Cargo Capacity Planning

As one of the world’s busiest cargo hubs, Miami faces ongoing infrastructure demands. We advocate for investments that address:

  • Ramp and warehouse congestion
  • Landside access and truck flow
  • Facility modernization
  • Technology and automation
  • Workforce and training development

By working with Miami-Dade leadership, airport planners, and economic development organizations, we champion solutions that support growth, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
